ScopeDeliver™: Bayer

Context/Problem Statement:

Bayer Crop Science is the U.S.-based agricultural division of Bayer, a global leader in life sciences, consumer health, and pharmaceuticals. As a critical driver of Bayer’s growth and innovation, the Crop Science division supports ambitious marketing initiatives across a complex ecosystem of brands, agencies, and internal stakeholders.

To meet its marketing objectives, Bayer Crop Science needed to streamline highly complex operations and ensure the efficient use of agency resources—both staffing and financial. Marketing teams followed an annual planning process to define scope requirements and share them with designated agency partners, with the goal of aligning deliverables, staffing needs, and costs. However, this process was increasingly difficult to manage at scale and lacked the rigor, transparency, and efficiency required to support informed decision-making throughout the year.
